Have you ever found your self driving in a car and an awesome song comes on so you start blaring music ....and then pretty soon your singing loudly and wanting to clap your hands and dance, all while stuck in traffic...
But then...
You stop and realize there are 10s of cars all around you?
That was me the other day. It was such a great song, I couldn't help myself and there were people clapping in the song so it made me want to also.
I know, I'm that cool.
News on our possible vacation: I talked to my Nana today and she has extra vacation "points"and the EXACT resort I picked out online is available for the points so we can virtually stay there for FREEEEEE! Yessss. We just need to get there.. haha Details, details.
On a side note, went to Fargo on Friday and got to hang out with some of my great highschool friends. We had such a great time! It was great to catch up and meetin their college friends
...though driving home Saturday I realized how crappy of a drive that is. It was all white and bright and plain and took HOURS. Though, those hours in the car were great with my friend Genna. It had been a while since we got to just hang out and talk about EVERYTHING.
Good friends are something everyone needs and I'm so thankful I have the most awesome ones!
Oh on a second side note... my birthday is in exactly 1 week tomorrow. :-)
Have a spectacular week. ~Danielle~

no posts in so long..
Well, I have not posted anything in a long, long time...but I found myself with a lot of thoughts on my mind today and felt like sharing.
I doubt anyone still reads this, but who knows.
Well, it is Valentine's Day and my husband is at work. It sucks that we tend to have such opposite schedules but we have to remind each other often that one day soon he hopefully won't have to work so hard all the time and I can take some of the stress off his shoulders.
I love him dearly and would do anything to help make things easier on him.
I woke up this morning and my bookshelf that is directly ahead of me when I wake up was filled with my favorite chips and candies. What a sweetheart. <3 We have reservations tonight at Sawatdee's in Maple Grove. It should be a lot of fun-I have never been there but they have live music starting at 6:30 so its dinner and entertainment all in one!
So far 2010 has really flown by. I was in London most of January on a class trip to study theater so that really screwed with my sense of time. It seems I still find myself typing 1/x/10 instead of February because it went so fast. When I got back Justin and I started looking into buying a house, but the other day we realized we are just fine where we are...why rush for something when we don't need to? Life is short as it is, we don't need to rush it even more. Everything will happen when it is meant to happen.
We got a new tv the other day. The one in our bedroom didn't hold color right anymore so we decided it was time and we switched our living room TV into the bedroom and got a beautiful Samsung in our living room. I love technology... :-) PS if you are interested in a new TV, I have research immensely on them so I could help pick you out one! haha The Olympics really look awesome right now... Oh and McDreamy and McSteamy look even better in 1080p HD
I have started my last semester at Hamline. I can't believe I'm graduating already...but I'm completely ready. This semester shouldn't be too hard. I'm only taking 3 real classes...plus an online music class which requires me to go to a concert, which is always fun, and then I'm taking Tae Kwon Doe again.. Watch out world, Danielle can kick some ass.
On the work front, they recently let go of a staff member and I am up for the position... only down fall is I can't work full time until after May 22nd, so they have hired a temp to try out. Cross your figures that the temp won't work out and they will realize how awesome I am and worth the wait. :-) I have applied for Grad school and was pre-accepted. I'm still debating to see if I should start this fall or take a short break from school for a while. Classes would be at night so I could still work full time, or I could just work 24/hrs a week and go to school at night... I'm still conflicted. It would be nice to be making a lot more money, but I guess Justin and I will talk it through and decide what is best.
Edward is growing and we continue to love and adore him everyday...he's going on 6 Months old. It amazes us how cute he can be just all the time. My good friend Kari was over the other day and saw a taste of Edwards charm.. he just loves everyone and she couldn't get enough! Currently my little friend is laying next to me on the couch watching the Olympics. Simply adorable. Its hard to imagine what it would be like to have an actual child when we fall so hard for a dog. Only if Edward could talk... then it would be perfect. haha
PS since when did they join target shooting and Skiing on a track? I'm so confused.
Oh, a recent development in our lives... Justin is finally realizing he has accumulated PTO in which case he needs to take a vacation! We have always wanted to go to Disney World so we're going to try to make it happen! The only thing, we found out we could save a ton of money if we find another couple to go with us... Like save $1200 on a 5 night, 6 day stay if we have 4 people instead of just us 2 (and that is including all 4 airfare, room, 5 day pass to all the theme parks, full-size rental car for the whole trip...) So if you like to have fun and get a tan and go to theme parks with a super fun couple (Justin and I) you should let me know! We don't really have any time set..just sometime in 2010 after May. Also we have some options that I haven't looked into yet...but my Nana always has a ton of extra vacation points extra which could mean we could stay for free somewhere, just have to pay for airfare.
Okay... I think I have done enough rambling.
I hope everyone, not like anyone will read this but in the change they do, has an amazing Valentines day.
May everyone have love in their life.

18 days to go...
Hello all! It is May 13th. Thats right. 18 days left until I officially tie the knot!! It seems like just yesterday that I got engaged... oh wait it was actually... 2 years, 4 months, and 18 days ago. (Decemeber 25th, 2006). Holy Moly. If I had all that time, why on earth would I delay everything until the last minute?? Oh yea, i'm a chronic procrastinator!! Not just in school work, but apparently in every aspect.
Fantastic.
But things are looking up!
I've stopped calling my mom daily freaking out if we remembered little things like a unity candle or a ring bearer pillow. Turns out I do have these things... they are just in a collection of all the other stuff for the wedding in my parents basement.
I finally got rid of the 6 boxes of candles that needed to be glued with ribbon... I dropped them off at my moms and they magically got done in one day! Magic I say. They've been sitting in my living room for about... 3 months. Staring me in the face. (I told you, procrastination is the name of the game for me.)
Our little gift boxes are all put together waiting for little candies to be put in them, the programs are ordered, RSVPs are in, guest count is about as good as its going to get, everyone is measured for the tuxes, my dress is fitted, the food is finalized, the photographer is all set and ready, flowers are good to go, bubbles are in a basket, the cake is going to be fantastic... still need to find a little stand for it though... Anyone have a 16inch cake stand?? haha
Now we are just waiting for the day... well, not exactly. I still have to write an 8 pg research paper due Monday. An accounting final on Friday that might just kill me. Oh and a presentation on phantom limb pain this Friday as well. I hate speaking in front of people. Don't expect much on my wedding day. I might just pass out.
Wedding things I need to do:
-Finish the song list and send the final check to the DJ
-Organize a photo shoot list for the photographer and so everyone knows the order of photos for the wedding day.
-string ribbon in a bow on the programs when they come in
-See if people have outdoor and indoor games they want to bring for the big BBQ that I'm putting on. Its really coming together and I think its going to be a TON of fun!
-get a final head count for the rehearsal dinner
Look at how small that list has gotten! woohoo! hahah Okay, so the wedding day is almost here and I am getting so excited yet nervous all at the same time. But everyone has been super supportive and asking what they can do to help. What I am wondering is, why hasn't anyone asked to help with my research paper?? It would be greatly appreciated... lol
Fat Chance. I know.
I'm done rambling for a while. I should get back to studying. I hope everyone had a fantastic mothers day.
Love to all,
Danielle

only 10 days left in April already...crazy
I haven't blogged in a while so I thought I would since I had some time.
About 2 weeks ago I started watching Justin's 4 year old cousin Georgia. We decided it would be best if she stayed in our guest bedroom, so we brought over all her necessities and it has been going fairly smoothly. We have a few minor scheduling complications, but for the most part it has been going pretty well. Except last night she came home from her dad's with a running nose and that escalated this morning into some heavy wheezing and a cough. Fantastic. So I stayed home with her today so she can rest, drink fluids, and hopefully not get worse...
So wedding is in.... 41 days! Can you believe it? I was watching a wedding movie last night and the bride was getting nervous before she walked down the aisle and I was practically hyperventilating. Gosh I hope everything goes smoothly at my wedding. Well, we have our first premarital counseling on thursday. Before we go we are supposed to take an online quiz about our relationship and then he'll get the results before we meet. I hope it's not horrible and he says we need 20 sessions to make our relationship right... haha that would not be good.
We have sent out the invitations and are getting the responses back and thankfully, it isn't going to be as large of a wedding as we excepted, but we're making the final touches on the flowers, decorations, and reception fooood! I'm so excited for it all but so nervous because I know nothing about planning weddings. The marriage part I'm ready for though :-) and as Justin told me last night, "I just wanna get Mauied, the rest doesn't matter".
I had a hair consultation last saturday. I definitely found out styles that I thought I really liked, actually didn't look as good as I expected on me. haha after Justin and I discussed it, I think it would be better to have all my hair up a little higher on my head because when I put my hair up normally that is how I do it. I know this is fascinating information.
I also had my first dress fitting and it went really well! Though there is a lot of little things that needed to be fixed on it, its going to be beautiful on my wedding day.
On a non-wedding topic, the weather has gotten warm and we have started motorcycle season! We go out riding every chance we get on our new bikes. Justin picked up his 2003 GSXR 1000 from the dealer last week and he absolutely loves it. I am continually impressed with my new bike, its a 2006 yamaha FZ1. Its so awesomely fast and comfortable and preeeettttyyy. haha
Well, I need to tend to the little girl in my living room. Hope all is well!

a sad end to the weekend.
I got a phone call this weekend that I would have never expected. One of my closest friend's had something happen to her that no one should have to go through. When she called and said her dad and step-mom were murdered, my immediate reaction was "this is not something to joke about... are you serious?" .. then came the story of what happened and I burst into tears. How can such great human beings have something like this happen to them??!? My friend was in shock and I can't imagine how hard this is to deal with... especially since just the weekend before, she was down in Florida for her brothers wedding, having the time of her life with all of her family. Then this happens not even 7 days later. But the thing that really makes me crazy, is that there are reports going on in Florida (which is where they lived) saying it was a murder-suicide and then people go on to say speculations saying it was probably due to financial crisis and the economic downturn. Let me just say, that people who don't know whats really going on shouldn't go around, making up stuff that other people would actually believe!! Its kinda weird how reporters could somehow know all this information before the family even does!! Arg. Sorry, I just read a bunch of posts on this naples news article and it just errrks me. And the fact that they put their home address in the article. The whole area is still a crime scene and under investigation... is that really necessesary to make public?? The family is believing that it could have possibly been done by poachers. They live on a lake full of aligators, and her dad would always go out and chase after people who tried poaching on their land. Some people even ended up in jail for it because they had so much artilary on them...which could have definitely pissed some people off and they could have gone after them for revenge. Apparently they wouldn't want poaching stories in the media so they make up other possibilities, is what a family friend who is a fire/rescue person told me. But again, nothing is official yet.
Please pray for the Nelson family, whom I love dearly. They still are missing a lot of information and don't know when the funeral will be.
Be thankful for every day you have with your loved ones and you can never tell your family/friends how much you love them enough.

Mid-february already?!
Happy Belated Valentines day!! And Happy Birthday to my fabulous husband-to-be!!
I can't believe its already the 16th of February... Time is FLYING!! So on the news front, I recently decided to take the plunge and buy cable TV and internet. It was connected yesterday and I'm pretty happy about it! I was actually able to be on my computer, while laying in bed, while watching awesome cable shows!! "Rich bride, poor bride" happens to be one of my favorite bridal shows. On an activities note, being the time of Justin's bday, we celebrated last night with his entire extended family (and even some random people I had never met before....) It was also his 4 year old cousins bday too so there were lots of people and lots of good food. Justin has been bugging me for months to get him "The Love Guru" so I finally caved and bought it for him. Its a pretty funny movie but its pretty much a compilation of all the austin powers movies if you ask me. Eh, whatevs. He likes it. But it was fun to chat with all his family.
School has begun again and has been in full swing for its 3rd week now. Too bad I was sick the first week and ended up missing a few classes already. Sometimes I really hate my immune system. It seems to always shut down when I really need it to be working well. At least I'm finally on the upside. So far I really like all my classes! (Which is kind of a change.) Accounting will be difficult so I'm thinking about getting into the tutor program so I can do well, but we'll see. The teacher seems to really go over everything so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm learning all about the appropriate amount of sleep I should be getting right now in my Sleep, Dreams, and Consciousness class. And did you know that for every 2 hours your awake, you attained 1 hour of sleep dep, and if you don't sleep the appropriate amount to erase it all you just start building and building the hours of sleep deprivation AND it stays with you until your body starts shutting down and makes you sleep for 15 hours one day. Random Fact. So Get enough sleep!! People crash their cars all the time from sleep deprivation! Oh and remember the Exxon oil spill back in the day? They tried telling it off that the captain was drunk... but really the first mate was in charge and he was so sleep deprived that he fell asleep and caused millions in damages and law suites!! Anyways, more random facts. So school is great. Work is great but very busy. Justin is loving caribou... not so much the 445am shifts, but he gets done with a full day by 3pm so he loves that! He has about 3 more weeks in his Manager In Training program and is very excited to find out where his actual store will be. But while talking to other MITs, he doesn't think it will happen right when he is done with the program. Apparently there is 2 other MITs already done with training and still waiting on stores... so we don't know if they are firing old managers or what they are going to do. We'll see. Either way, Justin still gets salary paid even if he doesn't have a store yet so thats good news!
Okay, I must get ready now. Hope everyone had a fabulous Valentines day!
Love, Danielle.

February Sure came fast..
It is now February. Lets see, things that are new? School for me started last week. I'm taking 4 courses: sleep, dreams and consciousness, an accounting class, Ethics, and Cognitive Psych. I'm really excited about them all! All the teachers seem pretty entertaining and each course has some great reading I'm looking forward to. On the work front, everything is going great. I'm still nannying a couple times a week as well as working about 24/hrs a week at the Epilepsy Foundation. Our audit is coming up at the beginning of March so I have quite a lot of work to do. Justin is well into the training process at Caribou Coffee in Mound. He is enjoying it, though 4:30 am comes pretty early!
On the wedding front, our invitations came in and they are fabulous! I'm not really looking forward to tying 150 ribbons though! Also, I'm in the experimenting process of gluing ribbons onto our reception candle holders. Wish me luck on that!
On a random note, there are going to be some additions into the Guldberg-Mills home... First, Justin and I have put a deposit down on a new motorcycle! Hopefully we will be picking it up on Justin's birthday on the 16th! We are very excited!! Its a red, 2006, Yamaha FZ1. Its a great bike that I have wanted for about a year. Its a bike that both of us will love to ride until Justin finds the right bike to replace his Aprilia that was stolen last September.
Also, we have been looking into getting a puppy for some time now and it seems that we found a breed that will be perfect for our situation. A Morkie! AKA a maltese-yorkie. They are great, small, quite dogs that only get to about 7lbs! I found one in a pet store last week and just fell in love... and so did Justin!! We have been looking around local breeders and are waiting for just the right dog. Meanwhile, I've been researching training tips, tools, to even pet health insurance! We even have a dog sitter all lined up for our honeymoon already! (Thanks Genna!) We're so excited!!
Well, I'm on a Sex and the City bender to do my recent illness... I'm onto Season 3 disc 2. Hopefully I get better soon before I watch the whole series in 2 days!!
